It is finally upon us, the greatest spectacle in the world. If you’re sleep schedule isn’t a mess then we cant be friends. As you’d expect this week’s list is dominated by all things World Cup and obviously the next 4 will be much of the same. This week we look at amazing art work from our Korean brochacho @fenomoeno_art, Gosha’s World Cup release, a cage pitch in France gets a Zizou treatment and the Nigerian Super Eagles continue to be the sauciest squad on the planet. Here is this weeks Instagram Best 11…

A mere six days ’til the world’s greatest spectacle is upon us. As World Cup fever crescendos into next week’s opening act, soccer’s shakers and movers do what they do. This week our Copa 90 brother Vuj rocks a photo shoot in that wild Naija track-suit, Daniel Nyari slays a cheeky kit illustration from the aforementioned Nigeria collection and Post Malone performs in crispy Gosha jersey. Elsewhere New Balance shows off their stellar new collab with Paul Smith while the good folks at Weird World Cup give us some footy inspired coasters. Check out the rest below…

The Naija kits took the world by storm today and rightfully so. We’ve said our peace on them and turn our attention to other inspiring gems from the beautiful game. This week sees Nivelcrack drop their Red Devils collection, while the Football Gal shows off her brilliant embroidery work on a throwback Arsenal kit. Puma follow the wave by dropping a lifestyle look-book for the new Italy kits, Trevor Noah visits Kiev for the UCL Final and Usain Bolt trains in the new Puma “Illuminate” pack for a training session in Norway.

One of my favorite things about this weekly feature is seeing new cultures collide with our beloved beautiful game. Seeing brands like Louis Vuitton create a soccer ball holder for the World Cup makes us all warm and fuzzy inside. We also heavily endorse Kobe Bryant flipping through a World Cup Panini mag and a cheeky illustration of Atletico Madrid players riding Fortnite parachutes to the Europa League trophy. Without further explinations it’s time for another edition of This Weeks Instgram Best 11…

As most major leagues across the planet wind down, brands/teams are quick to get the jump on next years kit releases. Man United, City, Bayern, Roma, PSG and others have already unveiled some of their 18/19 offerings with many more sure to follow suit. From jerseys to boots, soccers biggest keep it moving in time for the World Cup as Nike drop the “Just Do It” collection and New Balance release the pristine “Otruska Pack”. Elsewhere Waka Flocka hangs out with Edgar Davids for an Atlanta United match and Sergio Ramos flexes his Off White Vapormax’s.

As we crescendo into a World Cup summer, the inspiration and culture continues to grew like never before. Mo Salah’s set the Champions League ablaze, while Nike was busy with the drops of a new Dutch kit and the jaw-dropping CR7 “Portugal Patchwork” Air Max 97. Elsewhere skate legend Mark Gonzales collabed with adidas Skateboarding for a wild soccer kit and an insane fan from Brazil tattooed his entire upper body in the black/red stripes of his beloved Flamengo.

Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty. Are full-body shirt tats the new wave? 🤔

Madrid v Juve, Galaxy v LAFC, Roma v Barca, LAFC v Montreal, NYCFC V Atlanta, Juve v Napoli, the past few weeks on the pitch have been beyond lit. Off pitch we have the launch of the brand new influencer league in LA, the Nike ID 20yr anniversary heritage collection, custom kits from Mauro Icardi and much more. Oh by the way, we’re less than 2 months out from the World Cup. What a time to be a live! It’s time for another look into our Instagram Best 11.

Another Friday has rolled around way too quickly, especially when you’ve had the type of hectic week we’ve had. While continuing our efforts on the site, we’ve also had to move offices, conduct lord knows how many back-to-back projects, and find ways to grow our team, all the while keeping an ear on the ground for what’s been happening within soccer culture. So before we can hang our boots in exchange for ones better suited for the Coachella desert, we’re still grinding away at the new (and far from finished) office to bring you our Best 11 Instagram posts of the week, curated as always by our very on Andrew Medina.

To highlight a few, we’ve got COPA Football’s homage jersey to one of the greatest grunge bands ever: Pearl Jam; LAFC’s limited edition recycled Jersey, a Parley x adidas x MLS effort for Earth Day, Bleacher Report’s Bayern vs. Real Madrid and Liverpool vs. Roma Dragonball Z-inspired animation, Zlatan and Shaq (of course), and Alexander Wang’s third season drop with adidas Originals to name a few. Have a look below to see our full Best 11.

In the run up to the World Cup, we are designing prints representing our favourite new national team kits. Our latest print available to buy is the Nigeria Super Eagles kit pattern. . . 'The footwear giant set out to channel the Naija, or “New Nigeria” identity exuded by the youthful, contemporary team, which is mostly comprised of players under 25 years old. Nike accomplishes this through chevron and floral prints in tonal greens. The Nigeria Football Federation gets a lime green/white chevron Fast Fit Vapor Knit home uniform and traditional dark green ensemble for away. The key feature of the performance wear is heat transfer technology 64% lighter than other top-performing gear, making it Nike’s most breathable. .
